Robert Reffkin is an entrepreneur on a mission to help everyone find their place in the world. He was inspired to enter the world of real estate by his mother, Ruth, a longtime agent who now proudly works at Compass. He ran 50 marathons in 50 states to raise $1 million dollars for charities — including for New York Needs You, the non-profit he founded to serve young people living below the poverty line who are the first in their families to go to college. ED LYNCH
Ed Lynch has been involved in Marin County real estate since the early 1980s, when he started buying properties at the early age of 19. Over the next 10 years, Ed remodeled and developed numerous properties in Marin County. This included overseeing the construction of the downtown Tiburon Fire Station and the complete renovation of the substation, as well as managing day-to-day operations of the department serving the communities of Tiburon and Belvedere. Ed did this while simultaneously serving as a professional firefighter in Tiburon. In the early 1990s, Ed became a mortgage banker in Marin County with First Security Loan, followed by a tenure at RPM Mortgage in Mill Valley. Over the last two decades Ed has built a reputation as a highly respected loan consultant with a can-do, will-do attitude. Having been involved with almost all facets of real estate -- the lending side, as a buyer and seller of numerous properties, and the building/development side -- Ed has developed a keen sense of knowledge and respect for what today's buyers and sellers experience in a real estate transaction. In Ed’s words: “Buying or selling a house is something an average person may do a few times in their life, and hiring the right people to represent and guide them through the process is the most critical aspect of the transaction.” Having served 35 years in the fire service (26 years as a chief officer) Ed was also involved in strategic planning, critical incident response, personnel development, large-scale incident management, and day-to-day operations. This is yet another facet of hands-on, real-world awareness that Ed brings to his job at Pacific Union. With deep roots in Marin County and active in the community, Ed is currently vice president of the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation and recently served as Commodore of The San Francisco Yacht Club. Bringing his decades of experience in mortgage banking and fire service, Ed has developed a unique skill set that is ideally tailored to the real estate industry and to Pacific Union.
